USTAR held its first annual Energy Conference in Salt Lake City, UT March 13th. The forum was attended by more than 150 representatives from industry, government and academia. Participants learned about the latest trends in energy usage and development in the Rocky Mountain region, as well as progress in biofuels and other alternative energy technology. Networking and multi-disciplinary presentations from researchers, government and utility representatives, resource developers, and USTAR experts illuminated best practices, emerging technology, and market challenges.
USTAR sponsored UtahInventor.org's third Inventor Symposium, Saturday, April 19th at the Miller Business Resource Center in Sandy, UT. Woody Norris, distinguished inventor and holder of 47 patents, keynoted the meeting. The symposium brought together inventors, entrepreneurs and business people in an effort to foster cooperation and support of Utah's "creative spirit."
