Team OverviewElectric lighting is the largest consumer of energy in commercial buildings (35 percent). The Utah State University I2B team's goal is to cut lighting electrical use in half in buildings through anticipatory and task-adaptive lighting systems. I2B has created a next generation sensor that, by accurately sensing occupancy, will lead to significant savings in lighting, heating and cooling costs in commercial buildings. |
